In Fall 2007, the City of Overland Park bypassed more than 1,600 residents to the Johnson County Board of County Commissioners to request the right to annex a 15-square-mile area in southern Johnson County, Kansas.  This land grab was annexation without representation.  The process was not fair and not properly executed.  That is why three residents, Lynne Matile, Tom Watson, and Norman Pishny, with the support of the No To Annexation Committee are in the process of suing the city and county to get the annexation reversed.
